(YAP) BLOG # 101

Posted: August 11, 2008 in Uncategorized

It has been said that it is always darkest before dawn or before the sun shines.

Whatever that means.

Although we all know that day follows night, so maybe our pain now will give birth to a new life, expecting mothers & mother who have given birth would know first hand what I am talking about.

But anyway, I feel that we are in the underground bomb shelters gain, waiting & waiting & waiting…

Although it just seems that all of the heavy artillery have already been sent out & detonated (some out in the open, some in secret).

But I do feel that the darkest days of YAP has already past & we thus are all ready for the dawn or for the sun to light up the whole of YAP Land. Daylight. Where everybody can be free again, where past hurts can be mended & wounded hearts can start to heal. And when YAP Meet ups will be a time of great fun & fellowship.

But anyway I’m here in the blogs again, not really wanting to put up another blog post but with all this time I have today & all this waiting before the dawning of a new YAP or at least a new YAP Blog or of YAP Peace or of old friends opening the lines of communications again…

I might as well put up a clip of this one video I have been watching for a few minutes now, for all of you, our waiting audience.

An excerpt from the Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker movie, I think from Rush Hour 3.

WAR, What Is It Good For? Absolutely Nothing!

Sing & dance along if you wish:

War (Huh, yeah)
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing (Uh-huh, yeah)

War (Huh, yeah)
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing (say it again, y’all)

War (Huh, good god)
What is it good for?
Absolutely Nothing (Listen to me)

War, I despise
Cause it means destruction of innocent lives
War means tears in thousands of mothers’ eyes
When their sons go out to fight
And lose their lives
(Chorus 2x)

War ain’t nothing but a heartbreaker
(War)
Friend only to the undertaker

Oh, war is an enemy to all mankind
The thought of war blows my mind
War has caused unrest within the younger generation
Induction, then destruction
Who wants to die?
(Chorus 2x)

War ain’t nothing but a heartbreaker
It’s got one friend, that’s the undertaker

Oh, war has shattered many young man’s dreams
Made him disabled, bitter and mean
Life is much too short and precious
To spend fighting wars these days
War can’t give life, it can only take it away
(Chorus 2x)

War ain’t nothing but a heartbreaker
(War)
Friend only to the undertaker

These moments they understand and tell me
Is there no place for everyday?
They say we must fight to keep our freedom
But Lord, there’s just got to be a better way
(Chorus 3x…fade)
